[sap qm] inspection lots

Hi Gurus!

I wanted to view the list of open inspection lots without UD via QA33; I select a profile OPENLOT and check “select inspection lots without usage decision”. When I see the report, I get a list of open inspection lots. But for those that are in INSP and RREC status, the inspection lot does not appear in transaction MD04. Can you please let me know how MD04 works for inspection lots? Thanks!

Manuel,

[sap qm] Short Text 40 characters limitation problem.

Hi Gurus,

In our Project, while making Master Inspection Characteristics (QS21),
our requirement is to enter 150 characters in the "Short Text" Field, however it doesn't allow us to enter more than 40 characters.
We cannot maintain the "Short Text" and "Long Text" together (for Master Inspection Characteristic) as we plan to edit "Short Text" again during inspection plan.

After SAP Implementation, we want our Inspecting Official, to see the complete name of the test in the "Short Text" Field of Inspection Plan. We have `n' number of tests to be carried out and recorded during inspection.

We have tried using Long Text, however it is not useful for fast retrival and viewing of data as one has to click on that and wait for 4-5 seconds for the "Long Text" to load. Also, it wont be feasible for an inspector to waste the time to just look at the name of the test.

Can we go for a any customize development? Please suggest.
Thanking you in advance.

The problem with entering it into multiple plants is that when there is a change, you have to make sure that the revised specifications are changed for that customer in all plants.
